BISNODE PUBLISHES ITS SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

Bisnode announces the publication of its first Bisnode Group Sustainability Report. The launch of the Report details Bisnode’s 2016 progress toward the vision of becoming a leader within Digital Sustainability. The goals markes an ambitious new global sustainability commitment and strategic framework for the company.

The Sustainability Report describes Bisnode’s operations in 2016 – an eventful year for Bisnode. The company has focused on executing and delivering on the new group-wide strategy, and key activities have been to consolidate the organisation to collaborate with a strong customer focus in creating innovative customer solutions not limited by geography.

Bisnode’s CEO, Magnus Silfverberg explains; “In 2016, we focused on building strong governance and accountability to support our new sustainability strategy. There’s been a lot of work, some interesting challenges, but most of all we’ve creating new opportunities. Building sustainability into our business management system has been crucial to supporting our aspiration to ensure long time sustainable growth.”

As detailed in the report, Bisnode signed the UN Global Compact and work in accordance with its ten principles on human rights, labour rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption. To this end also chosen to to follow the The Global Reporting Framework (GRI) in the inaugural Group Sustainability Report. Key highlights from the 2016 report includes:

  • Bisnode assigned a new Bisnode Group Sustainability Manager
  • Looking into the future Bisnode will excel in the area Digital Sustainability, keeping this as the most important sustainability issue and prioritize maintaining the the highest levels of data security, protection, integrity and privacy.
  • In 2016 Bisnode launched a group-wide Whistleblower function to which employees can raise issues of malpractice anonymously
  • A General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Program has been developed and supported by appointed Group Protection Officer (DPO) which aims to ensure compliance and strict data security.
